The HROA Activities is an informal group, open to all Heritage Ranch Members in good standing; to help plan and organize HROA sponsored activities.
Any member who would like to join and/or sit in during one of the Activities Committee meetings, is welcomed to do so.
All HROA sponsored activities should be designed to promote participation by all members of HROA, but can be specified to be for "adults" or "youth" depending on the type of event.
Each Fiscal Year, a budget is prepared through the Finance Committee, then approved by the HROA Board of Directors. The budget may, or may not, include specific activities pre-approved for the Fiscal Year.
All HROA sponsored activities are subject to approval by the HROA Board of Directors, unless the activity has been pre-approved in the budget. Events of less than $500.00 total cost can be approved by the HROA General Manager, as long as the budget is anticipated to have enough funds to provide for these expenditures. (Note that the Volunteer and Employee annual December parties are not considered activities under this committee, but are part of Employee Relations, which is a separate budget item.)
All HROA sponsored special events are expected to be revenue-neutral and are subject to approval by the HROA Board of Directors. Surplus monies left on account from one event can be used for another event to offset expenses accrued with the intent of having no impact on the annual budget during any particular Fiscal Year.
All HROA sponsored activities shall follow the guidelines established by the HROA Board of Directors.
Any member who is interested in adding their ideas and energy to help with any of the various HROA sponsored activities, is asked to contact the HROA Office.
Adopted by the HROA Board of Directors on February 8, 2013.
